🛡 Psalm 20: The Prayer Before the Battle
retransmitted by Virgin Monk Boy after closing the group chat, whispering a hope into the wind, and tying a red thread around his wrist
1
May the Holy hear you
not just when you shout
but when your voice is shaking
May you be met
not only in power
but in the quiet hour before the storm
2
May your past offerings
the little unseen things you gave away
be remembered
not because God needs gifts
but because Love never forgets
3
May your heart’s blueprint
be seen, honored
and gently revised when needed
4
May help rise like wind beneath you
not from your cleverness
but from the breath of the One who sees all
5
Some trust in spectacle
in warhorses and headlines
But we remember the name
that calls the soul back to itself
6
They will rise and fall
as all empires do
But you
may you stand
not on pride
but on presence
7
This is not a war cry
This is a sending
A cry of hope
for the ones walking into fire
still choosing to carry peace in their bones
