These are a lifeline for me. Just reading the unearthly beautiful prose ends up in my heart, either by loving force or brutal stealth. The Psalms I grew up with in the Bible resonated at times but i need the down to earth smack me in the face or stark sharing of life’s struggles to penetrate heart body mind & soul & guide me thru the mutilple layers of this thing we call life AND the inner life of where we came from & where we’re going.

What an unexpected gift of literal translation for those of us (i dont think I’m alone) who may not disbelieve the Psalms as written but connect with & are fed by these translations that so represent what we are living thru this time & place in the physical bodies.

A much appreciated gift & blessing that can soak in & change things easily each time they’re read & assimilated 💝💖❣️

Beth Ann, thank you for this. You named exactly why these retransmissions matter. The ancient psalms still carry power, but sometimes they feel sealed in a language that doesn’t touch the raw nerves of the present moment. What you’re describing is the same reason I keep putting them into today’s voice, so they can meet us in the grit of our actual lives and not just in memory. I’m grateful they landed in your heart like that.

I will meet one a day. Feel what and how it resonates. Thank you for listing them like this.
