🔥 Psalm 7: I Have Done No Such Thing
(retransmitted by Virgin Monk Boy after being misquoted, misjudged, and misread, then deciding to tell the truth anyway)
1
O Beloved, I take refuge in You
Not because I am innocent of everything
But because I am innocent of this
Let them not tear me apart
like beasts who think they smell guilt
when all they sense is grief
2
If I have done what they say
then let the consequences come
Let the truth break open
even if it breaks me
If I betrayed a friend
or wounded someone who stood in peace
then let me fall
3
But I have searched myself
and the silence agrees with me
I did not do what they accuse me of
4
Rise, O Presence
not with wrath
but with clarity
Stand in the still center
where justice does not need to shout
5
Let the gatherings of hearts return to You
Let us be held in a circle not of judgment
but of truth-telling
and mercy
6
You see deeper than the surface
You test the heart
not with trials
but with tenderness
Let the lie unravel
Let the real remain
7
If the accuser will not turn
their trap will trap them
Their violence will return to sender
But I do not rejoice in this
I do not gloat
I wait
8
My shield is not cleverness
or self-defense
It is the knowing that I am known
You, who see all
see me
9
Let the injustice dissolve
Let the slander fall silent
Let truth be its own defense
10
I will sing to the One who sees clearly
I will give thanks
not because I was right
but because I was seen
—Virgin Monk Boy
(who once fought to clear his name
and now lets Love do the talking)
Yes sometimes there can be a connection but there IS a difference between guilt & grief
You were seen 💖
