๐ Psalm 2: Why Do the Powerful Pretend So Loudly?
(retransmitted by Virgin Monk Boy after sipping lukewarm tea and realizing it was still perfect)
1
Why are the nations always stirring up drama?
Why do the powerful gather like it's a business conference,
plotting strategies to conquer what cannot be conquered?
They are trying to outshout Silence,
and it's not going well.
2
"Let us break free," they say.
"Let us throw off these divine ropes and walk alone."
They do not realize they were never bound.
Only afraid to be held.
3
The One who dwells in Stillness is not worried.
Love is not anxious.
The Holy One laughs.
Not cruelly, but with the tenderness of someone
who has seen this illusion before.
4
Then the voice of Love speaks.
It is not thunder that terrifies.
It is the soft truth that nothing they've built will last.
Control cannot survive the sunrise.
5
"I have already anointed the one who reflects me,"
says the voice.
"Not on a throne, but in the heart that no longer fights itself.
This king wears no crown, but radiates peace.
This realm has no borders, yet nothing lies outside it."
6
You are my child.
This moment, I give you birth again.
You are not forgotten.
You are not separate.
You are not your fear.
You are mine.
7
Ask, not for power, but for presence.
The nations are not prizes.
They are songs waiting to be sung together.
The earth does not need your grip.
It longs for your gentleness.
8
Be wise, you makers of noise.
Let your pride take a nap.
Bow to the mystery within you.
Kiss the joy that lives in your neighborโs face.
Take shelter in the arms that were never closed to you.

(who once tried to overthrow heaven with a manifesto,
but got distracted by the sound of wind in the trees
and surrendered instead)
