Christian nationalism has myopic tunnel vision that you document well. They have a bible that doesn't correspond with the majority of bibles and they have their American history texts that ignore or rewrite history to their liking. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were signers of the American Friendship Treaty with Morocco (a Muslim country) in 1787. Then in 1797, the Treaty of Tripoli was signed and Article 11 of the treaty stated: “As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion, as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religious or tranquility of Musselmen, and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.”

And i thot MY life was a hot mess! (Well, it kinda is…)

And I thot the 60’s were bad! 3 assassinations, the Vietnam War, women burning bras (that was the worst of course 🙄) & fighting for abortion rights. SMH. I guess I’m overwhelmingly naive. WTF is wrong with these people? What happened to Jesus being all love? Did they read the New Testament? CAN they read? Ok now I’m being insulting & unloving myself & I don’t wanna be a hypocrite & be hateful like them & President Shitler.

Sorry, my sister just came up with that & replaced mine, which is maybe worse although itz words right out of his mouth in a tv interview years ago.

Help me, Mother, for I have sinned. Again. I’ll go pray for them some more which will probably piss them off more. I’m gonna go sit at my mesa altar, calm down & pray & meditate. Then take a bath in holy oils & let Magdalene take me away.

As much as it stirs up every emotion I’ve ever felt in my entire life except for divine ecstasy, thank you for writing this. Every person living in this country needs to read it. EVERY PERSON.
