Long ago, decades, I read a book titled "Ascent to God: Faith as Art, Risk and Humor." The author talked about how the enter of our faith must be reclaimed periodically through life. What we understand when we are a child doesn't hold and we must free fall until we find our new center. This process necessarily repeats - if we are to grow. I like your explanation analogy. The center doesn't change -but our scaffolding has to be rebuilt from time to time.
🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing your thoughts — I strongly resonate with much of what you said. I’ve come to believe that Homo sapiens, particularly our egoic mind, represents a kind of failed experiment on the part of Nature or the Creator. At the same time, I’ve found that it’s precisely when the mind becomes most quiet that we experience true contentment, harmony, and peace. 🪷
Wow. I mean, I really can't say more than wow because I'm still absorbing the internal shift I feel reading something that gives words to my weird feelings. This is so on point.
As sleep was creeping up on me, i felt drawn to re-read this post….& in spite of the 35 degrees temp outside I bundled up & stepped out to see a swiftly moving blanket of clouds lit up by an almost full moon swimming in a circle of light - mesmerizing. But my wimpy body could only stare so long & it was so cold I was literally seeing double - 2 moons merging back & forth into one & reluctantly came back into the warmth of the house. I’ve been reading Meggan Watterson’s “the Mary Magdalene Oracle” & picking a card before I go to sleep. The one that was next…. PRESENCE.
I havent believed in coincidence for quite awhile - for good reason.
Beth, only you would step into the cold and have the moon split in two just to make a point. That’s how Presence taps certain people on the shoulder. No subtlety. Just “look up, I’m talking.”
And then your next card is PRESENCE. That’s not a coincidence. That’s choreography.
I love how you follow those nudges. Even the cold can’t stop you from listening.

You are a godsend, that’s what you are.🙏
This resonates so deeply with what I know to be true. 🩷
Pause. Breathe. Remember. Still learning. Still practicing.
