Jesus, Buddha, and a Rabbi walk into a Trump rally. What follows isn’t a punchline—it’s a parable of cosmic proportions, where holy men meet holy chaos, and kombucha meets Diet Coke midair. Satire, sacrilege, and salvation collide in this irreverent tale of modern American idolatry.
So happy to know that Jesus, the Buddha, & the Rabbi all have a great sense of humor! And the miraculous discovery that the Constitution came straight from the Dead Sea Scrolls — that must be those missing pages!!! That explains EVERYTHING.
My husband of 47 years, Episcopal priest + so much more (“…there’s more going on than meets the eye…) would counsel me: “Everyone has a heart; everyone has a Soul. Evil does not exist separate from our God-given responsibility to choose, good or bad behavior.” I taught/coached there are no bad people; only people who choose bad behavior. Think “tough love.” How does tough love work? You love the kid, you employ appropriate consequences for bad behavior (while rewarding good behavior), So, task one: get all people to take responsibility for their own actions. Task Two: get people who live with kids to assume the role of “Adult-in -the-room.” How do you recognize “Adults” “parents” are in the room? They follow the Rules of a Society. Not always, but a society often builds their rules based on foundations of religion rules. For us, we built their Constitution based on Judeo-Christian principals. We said government and religion are separate. Democracy is a choice, by, for, of the People.
What I know about culture change is that it’s accomplished by changing people’s hearts. Facts and data aren’t enough. So my question: how do you reach people’s hearts? You do it by loving them, the person. You are clear that you won’t tolerate bad behavior.
So, friends, how do we love our enemies?
How do we administer consequences for bad behavior?
Let’s assume wars and killing are obsolete.
Let’s assume all humans are, at their core, born good.
There is no “other.” Only places within ourselves we have not yet welcomed into the light of God’s mercy. In silence, this becomes painfully clear—and unspeakably freeing.
Love arises not as a strategy, but as the fruit of consenting to God’s presence. In that consenting, we begin to see that what we called “enemy” was only a distortion. A shadow cast by wounds unhealed.
The first task, then, is not to love them “out there,” but to sit still long enough for the illusion of separateness to dissolve. The love that remains will do its own work.
How do we offer consequences?
With as much interior silence as possible.
Anything given in reaction binds both parties to the wheel of suffering. But when given from stillness, even a boundary becomes a blessing. Consequences should not seek to correct others, but to reflect what is already true. Let the truth speak. Let your ego step aside.
It is not our job to manage people’s behavior. It is our task to witness them in God’s light, and let them meet themselves there.
Let’s say war is obsolete. Let’s say all are born good. Then the spiritual task becomes clear:
Consent to the good that already is—in you, in them, in the space between.
Not as a theory. Not as a hope. But as a practice.
A daily letting go.
A quiet “yes” in the darkness.
That’s how he’d answer.
And then, with his eyes half-lowered, he’d fall silent again.
Because anything more would be noise.
Stillness is the language God speaks. Everything else is a poor translation.
Haha! Tulsa is where I live…I could see that happening here, where Oral Roberts once turned his back on “his black son”’, Carlton Pearson for being inspired to preach “a gospel of inclusivity.”’
rning Man is a week-long large-scale desert event focused on "community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance" held annually in the Western United States.[1][2] The event's name comes from its ceremony on the penultimate night of the event: the symbolic burning of a large wooden effigy, referred to as the Man, the Saturday evening before Labor Day.[3] (Wikipedia)
Holy Satire! Great riff on three prophets go into a bar!
MAGA, unfortunately, would never recognize Jesus if he appeared right before their eyes—even if they had a “road to Damascus” experience.
So happy to know that Jesus, the Buddha, & the Rabbi all have a great sense of humor! And the miraculous discovery that the Constitution came straight from the Dead Sea Scrolls — that must be those missing pages!!! That explains EVERYTHING.
OMG this is SOOOO good!
Yes satire can be an important nourishment for the Soul, in a world bereft of sanity and direction...
Good read .
Thank you 🙏

Now, what do we do?
Floor is open for suggestions!

A yearly festival in Nevada's black rock desert every August. Tho I'm sure there are many other interpretations of those 2 words as well 😉
Loved that, but please excuse me for not knowing what “ burning man “ means. Any help?

Does this still happen?
Now I wonder how would one go about attending? So curious 👽
