A minimalist monk goes to absurd lengths to let go of everything—including himself—only to discover that the ego can turn even detachment into a performance. A spiritual satire on how the self tries to win at surrender.
This may be satire but sometimes it hits home as hard truths!! I spent 9 years in a messianic Torah Observant movement 😆 and I ditched music, pork, shellfish, TV, movies...people, holidays etc and thought I was soooo smart studying ancient scrolls texts fasting, praying worshipping... and one day I realized the main ingredient missing from all of those enlightening things was LOVE!! And ditched the movement! This was an awesome read!! I love when truth and funny collide 💓💓💓
Still gently laffing…..i can’t even declutter my house or car or shed, let alone my cluttered soul. Funny & deep simultaneously & that light charm that lifts my buried sullen attitude after dealing with too much life spam recently. 🙂↔️ perfect timing

This brings me joy, therefore, I will continue to hoard VMB posts and keep them on the shelves for everyone I know to enjoy. ❤️
I laughed through this—and then caught myself wondering who was laughing for whom.
“The self can turn humility into theater faster than you can say Namaste for attention” might be the truest thing I’ve read all week.
Thank you for the reminder that even non-attachment can start collecting followers. 🌿❤️🔥

Life spam is the perfect phrase. The monks tried deleting their attachments, but the universe just kept sending more pop-ups.
Don’t bother decluttering the soul. Just light a candle in the mess and call it sacred.
