Proof that satire can cut through to make the truth plain and simple. Thank you so much

🤣 both funny and scary. Amazing how much you can get across (and away with) with a little exaggeration and humor. And yet it IS a red flag alert because . . . misguided convictions about God mixed with power and control makes for a toxic and dangerous recipe. In my opinion. Based on experience.

I find Virgin Monk Boy narratives to be every thing every where all at once. Without Genre. As it were.

Smells like the old Terror Threat Level Alerts after 9/11?

Offered daily by the corporate media. Perfect for stoking the fear factor.

That's GOOD!

Good satire has an "edge" to it. Well done!

Disciplining your own soul is tyranny and disciplining others is freedom. Ugh, but here we are...

We live in a world of clowns but only some are funny. Thank you VMB for writing the right sort of humour, one that unsettles as much as make us smile.

I love the satiric part. Although Islamic teachings, just like the actual teachings of Jesus, are very different than the response to the alerts, my understanding of Sharia law is that it is just as repressive as what is being foisted on us by the Christian Nationalists. Basically anytime politicians use religion as a means of control, it doesn't end well. I like Jesus' saying "My kingdom is not of this world." The soul is not passing judgments or laws.

Sharia is a sacred path of life in Islam centered on worship, ethics, charity, and obedience to God. It is primarily a body of guidance and duties for Muslims, not some program Muslims in America are imposing on everyone else.

I guess when I think of Sharia law, I think about women who aren't given a choice about whether to wear a burka, about people who are protesting being rounded up and jailed or executed. Maybe I'm misinformed. I have no issue with Islam. It's a beautiful religion of discipline and peace to my limited study.
