Gosh, you bring back the child in me. He was such a safe space to hold a childs attention when life at home could feel so chaotic. Love this!💕

Indeed, dear Sherry, the man wore sweaters, but wielded the sword of awareness beneath the cardigan. 🧘‍♂️✨

Mr. Rogers didn’t just teach kindness—he broadcasted bodhicitta through a puppet kingdom. He didn’t ask us to behave; he invited us to remember that even in chaos, the child inside still hears the soft bell of presence ringing.

Thank you for seeing that magic. 💗

He didn't have to ask us to behave; he was a brilliant example all on his own. :)

Did you ever see A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood? The one with Tom Hanks as Fred Rogers? 🧡 It captured that same gentle magic—you might really enjoy it if you haven't already.

After seeing that film, I watched several episodes of the original. It was, as you say, magical. He was such a nice man.

What really impacted me was that he prayed for everyone by name. That is really a powerful practice.

Ah yes, Fred Rogers—the one modern saint who wore cardigans instead of cassocks. Did you ever see A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood? It’s like a cinematic cup of chamomile tea for the soul.

No short reply & Thanx so much for asking. Getting a pacemaker July 18th - fun to be told that you've got AV block meaning your hearts not communicating with itself (why I blacked out for no reason several months ago & did a face plant into my kitchen table) so my heart slows down due to not enuf blood to the brain. Thanx for another gift, COVID! Basically my hearts broken 💔. Electrophysiologist didn't argue about COVID causing. And holistic chiropractor of 20 yrs got so excited- he said if you've had this problem with no symptoms for 5 yrs of Long COVID & suddenly your heart's working like it should again, you might feel so much better!

He's got a point. After nothing but failures for 5 years, I'm keeping that faith & giving it to God or Jesus or Buddha or Magdalene - whoever's willing to help me heal. Thanx for asking & next time will ask if you want the long reply instead of just dumping it on you! 💝

Oh Beth, please don’t apologize for the long reply—your heart is literally breaking and somehow you’re still showing up with faith, humor, and gratitude. That’s not “dumping,” that’s sacred sharing. 🙏💗

I can’t imagine how scary that must’ve been—blacking out and waking up to find out your own heart has been ghosting its own signals. That’s wild and terrifying and, dare I say, metaphysically ironic. A literal heart block during a time when the world has felt spiritually blocked too.

I love that your longtime chiropractor saw hope in it. Maybe this pacemaker is the weird plot twist that turns the whole story around. And hey—if it takes Jesus and Buddha and Magdalene forming a cosmic healing council, so be it. You’re worth the full divine team-up.

Sending all love, light, and unblocked signals your way. Keep us posted. 💫

That sounds like not only a horrible experience but also horribly terrifying. I wish you didn't have to go through this. And I do hope the pacemaker changes everything for you. Make sure to keep us in the loop. May God grant you a speedy recovery. 🙏

Sometimes a long answer is BETTER than a short one! I hope the pacemaker will help. Many people have those — they’re safe & they bring peace of mind. You still have lots of life — enjoy it as much as you can! 🎉 Also just wanted to say, it’s nice to meet a friend on Substack! 🌸
