Here it is: "Kenosis does not amputate desire. It relinquishes control of it." That's the crux (pun intended) of the work.

This is so powerful. “love refusing to contract under pressure.” Do you think the second power of craving was saying this? It is not sin to lust, to want, to long, but various forms of eros and agape on the arc? The suppression of eros has been a disaster.

Religions still try to separate eros & agape: both Lent & Ramadan frown on eros, but agape is okay.

Good nuance here: Ramadan doesn’t restrict eros 24/7 for 30 days. The restraint is during the daily fasting window, and outside that window life continues (including marriage). It’s more like daily training than a month-long denial.

That’s part of what makes it interesting spiritually: it’s not “desire is bad,” it’s “desire needs schooling.” The fast interrupts impulse for a set time so you can relate to desire consciously instead of automatically. And that’s where eros can mature instead of getting repressed.

Yes, yes, yes!! 💖🙏 Thank you. Eros and agape are (an arc that links) 2 sides of the same coin, the 2 end-loops of the infinity sign. They alternate, informing and expanding each other, until there is but one/love, ecstatic light, Hieros Gamos in its purest essence. At least this is my own experience.

Yes. What’s potent for me is you are naming personal experience with only a few powerful compelling gripping words. I learn by experiencing. If I had read this first without the experience I think I may have responded with a “huh?” From the moment Mary Magdalene reached out to me and I responded so lighting fast and loudly with “YEEESSS!” My body leapt forward…responded viscerallly…my thinking mind got run over leaving over-sized tire marks on its back. No hesitation. No doubt. Only recognition and connection. With zero concern about what might come next. I sensed the unknown mystery I am becoming was an opening bud, not yet revealed. But with faith in the process of Eros and Agape meeting, growing, learning, merging, all would be in its divine right order. I have walked through the doorway called home. Peace is present while embodying the Sacred. Wow Wow Wow. Night all. Peace be with you. Always and All ways. ❤️🙏❤️😎🐶
