I expect any day now the DOJ will charge him with violating civil rights hindering a religious service like it did with the ice demonstrators in Minnesota.

Yes. I expect the FBI will arrest him soon just like Don Lemon. Of course.

Your story is so funny! But really I don’t know whether to laugh or cry that some “Christians” are so hateful to other religions, after all these centuries.🕊️

Back in late 90’s I was in a Dharma Center and Evangelical parents would encourage their kids to come to the door, stick their heads in, and yell “Jesus is the only way” then run off. But that is nothing compared to the hate I’ve seen directed towards Muslims.

Upon 2nd reading, this roasting of a typical Texas loudmouth is not so funny after all — he’s totally ridiculous from afar, but when he’s right in your face it’s threatening & scary. The “Christian” Nationalists’ harassment of minorities has gone way out of control, encouraged by Republicans. It’s actually a very sad time for this country.

My Dear Friend, I’m so sorry for all the violence around us. I will always defend our Muslim brothers & sisters whenever I can, inshallah, as I trust all good Christians will. May God protect you.☪️

🤦‍♀️as the days go by I look around and wonder how we got here. Of course I know-it didn’t happen all at once . . .

not far from our house is a farm that grows tulips. The fields of rows and rows of different breathtaking colors of flowers are so beautiful it takes my breath away. And all around in the distance, on a clear day when you can see for miles, there are at least five majestic mountains still covered with snow. The view is indescribable.

Twenty five years ago my high school daughter, and I, seeking some serenity, drove over and pulled into the dusty parking lot. There was no fee back then and everyone was welcome. A quaint farm store with pretty garden decor items and a coffee stand stood nearby. People would order tulip bulbs and purchase bouquets and pots full of the glorious flowers to enjoy in vases on kitchen tables or out on the porch.

My daughter and I strolled out into the tulip paths and were quiet just taking in the fresh air and all that beauty. There was the kind of peace that instilled a reverence that made people speak in hushed tones. Our spirits entered into a kind of worship that happens only in nature . . .

Fast forward to yesterday when we took our grand children to see the flowers and enjoy the magical huge garden. I haven’t been there for a few years so I wasn’t prepared for the astronomical entrance fee where each person in a vehicle was included in the price. The first field had been turned into a huge parking lot. The farm store was enlarged and there were rows of tents selling food and trinkets and in front of all that were fair rides and bouncy houses. Long lines of grumpy people and fussy children waited in the hot sun to buy special drinks, snow cones and every kind of treat imaginable. Beyond that there still were rows and rows of beautiful flowers and exceptional views of the mountains. And people taking pictures, arguing with children, talking loudly, being rude sparring for the best place to pose for pictures or the nearest bench to sit on.

Our grandkids thought the flowers were pretty but all they could think about was riding the rides, getting treats and shopping for fun stuff. That’s what excited them. It was noisy and the smell of grease and caramel popcorn filled the air. I get it.

But one of my cherished sacred places had been turned into a carnival. Focusing on creation and one of nature’s cathedrals was no longer the focus . . . as we pulled away I remembered a Joni Mitchell song: “they paved paradise and put up a parking lot”

I may not pray like Muslims but I would have respected their acts of quiet worship and my spirit would have joined with their hearts expressing love for and acknowledgement of the God of their understanding. And I am both intensely sad and angry that anybody would feel they had the right, and perhaps even responsibility?? to interrupt such a sacred moment. 😔

Spiritually speaking people are “paving paradise and putting up parking lots” in sacred spaces and actually think their self-centered, embarrassing behavior is pleasing to God. And have no clue they are going places that angels would fear to tread. Avarice is vying for hearts and minds and whether people understand it or not, the real war that’s waging is a spiritual one. Who and what will be our “god” and how will it end? I’ve heard that Love wins. That Love ALWAYS wins. I hope that is true.

Possibly hoping incite destruction like he did in Minnesota. He must be on a high after it. The prize is higher now as well since the regime seems to be taking ideas from these "influencers".

In away it is both violates Americans freedoms and looks pathetic simultaneously. Perchance a well placed lightening bolt would get his attention. Falling from a horse would not work for him as it would introduce the horse as a character competing with him for attention.
