Right here in y’all-drive-friendly Texas, we have to contend with ropes & spurs that bite, big snakes that bite, huge swarms of mosquitoes that bite, giant gators that bite, peppers that bite, deadly heat waves that bite, traffic that bites, fire-ants that bite like hell, 4”-long cockroaches that will bite everything you own; and ugliest of all, genetically brain-dead MAGAts, whose aggressively idiotic barks are way worse than their bites but they’re still a toxic pain in the ass to have as neighbors. Just sayin, Y’all.

Honey, you need to go live on an animal planet show about Texas wildlife - and yes, the brain-dead humans qualify as wildlife IMHO - and educate those of us who don’t live in Texas & especially those who’ve never enjoyed a visit there. Please do humanity a giant favor & share your knowledge. Sure, it will bounce off some but will sink into others. 🙌🙏🪳🦟🐜🐊🌶️🐍❤️‍🔥

This article reveals the underbelly of Christian dominionism that is prevalent in so much of American conservative Christianity. The hypocrisy is screaming in their faces, and it is as if they are proud of it, as long as you look American, pious, and cowboy-hero-myth saying it. I am no longer Christian and have no plans to convert to Islam, but some of the most powerful voices defending religious freedom are coming from those who have deconstructed some aspect of their faith. We look back and see the importance of people having the right of spiritual expression. Side note: I'm speaking now specifically to the unchurched/non-religious among us, because we will defend and speak out, but often are not included at the table when thought leaders congregate to discuss spirituality in America. That disparity will one day need to change. It is articles like yours, Virgin Monk Boy, that prove change is indeed needed.

“The fog machine revival crowd may discover this is not the soft target they thought it was.” I certainly hope so. ☯️🔯🕎🪯🛐✡️☸️🕉️☪️☦️✝️

American Evangelicals have been sending missionaries to solidly Christian countries for generations, literally: I know a couple who met and married on such a mission and now their children are on them. These tax-free “churches” are fronts for corporate-headed and CIA-protected invasions of resource-laden areas that need to be “liberated” from whatever is preventing their dominance by US interests, usually socialist leanings or possibilities and often locally focused outposts of the Catholic Church. The missionaries, often unwittingly, are there to turn minds toward US capitalist “values” in preparation for economic and political takeover.

It is also noteworthy that an underlying animosity (I think we can say “fear”) is displayed in the particular targeting of religious denominations and practices that revere the Virgin Mary or female divinity or mysticism. They often declare “God has no mother!” We’re exporting patriarchy at every level.

Another great article, Virgin! 🌟

Well said! I agree. And honestly, I don’t blame countries like Russia or China from outlawing those activities. Neither is against religion, it is how religion is being used politically and to undermine their own sovereignty and social order.

Maybe that’s why the USA is so paranoid when it sees Mosques going in in the USA. What will we do if the majority of people start calling for a Zakat tax!?

I think those who have fallen for the ridiculous notion of a Muslim majority are mostly afraid of bans on alcohol. 😏
