This is a beautiful and profound reframe of the resurrection encounter. The distinction between clinging to the form and carrying the presence is the pivot that changes everything. Mary came to the garden searching for the body of the one she loved. She was looking for the familiar—the face, the voice, the physical presence she could hold and keep. But Jesus was asking her to let love become larger than possession.

What I find myself sitting with is the idea that the beloved must cease to exist merely as someone standing before her and become a living source within her. That is the transformation. She cannot organize her love around an external object anymore. The relationship can no longer depend upon proximity in the old sense. Its center has moved.

The line that stayed with me is: "The beloved has become not merely the object of her affection but the subject of her truth." That is the whole of it. She no longer needs merely to ask what Jesus would say. She is being transformed into someone capable of seeing from within the truth he awakened in her.

Thank you for this. It is a reminder that resurrection does not give us back what we had before. It transforms love until the beloved no longer needs to be possessed in order to be present.

Oh, VMB, for me, this is the most profound scroll I have experienced with you. I now have words to relate my personal experience with Bill. I accepted, but did not fully understand how it was possible from the instant Bill crossed over for me to have the parallel responses of deep excruciatingly, painful, grieving, while at the very same time I was filled with joy and so much gratitude I gave up looking for a cup big enough to hold all my gratitudes, and instead acknowledged that there is no holder, there is no box, for love.

“That is the challenge Jesus gives Mary. She must release the form while keeping the love. Clinging says that if I cannot have you as I had you before, then I have lost you. Love says that if the form changes, I will learn how to meet you there.”-VMB

BILL did not tell me to leave him. Instead he said GO. I am myself experiencing a transformation that is profound. Yesterday a muse commented: “You are not just changing, you are resurrecting.” Yesterday and today I am sitting quietly allowing my whole being to let in this observation. And then you appear with your scroll which feels like the description of what Bill and I are experiencing, having completely merged into Eternity. After 18 months ln my quiet still cocoon, I see now I really have cracked open any remnants of my old self, and feel myself now flying through the universe with the wings of an angel.Mary Magdalene clarified my destiny, as a bridge between Heaven and Earth with people, animals, plants, matter. I have surrendered to a power greater than myself, and this, you, are the first synchronicity to drop in out of the blue. I am who I am, and that’s enough. So Be It. ❤️🙏🔥

This story is one that I have thought about a lot because of the words, "do not cling to me". I love how you have explained what Jesus meant when he said that to Mary. This is such a beautiful explanation of love.

These words give true meaning to the love that Jesus preached

Please help me understand why every AI Detection site reveals all of your post as 100% AI generated. I have really appreciated the posts, so this really bums me out. Some people have no problem with it, but my issue is: 1) The writing is not inspired, you simply know what to plug in to an AI generator. 2) It’s like having someone else do all the research and writing, then posting it as if it’s your own inspired work.

Well, that makes so much sense! I wasn't raised in a church, so never could fathom what all that was about. Thanks!

Thank you for this beautiful, expansive view on that moment. 🌹. Will have to contemplate this in my own life.

Beautiful! My late husband and I shared a beautiful love story. His love transformed my life. I smile, now, when I recognize his beautiful way of being living through me out into the world.

Singer/Songwriter Alana Levandoski wrote a gorgeous song about this very Magdalene-Christ connection of not clinging. It’s called “Human One.” I highly recommend looking it up.
